Bollywood family drama, Aaj Kie Aurat, directed by Avtar Bhogal and written by Sanjay Chaudhary was released on March 11, 1993. The movie starred Jeetendra and Dimple Kapadia in lead roles while Joginder shelly, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Suhas Joshi, Anupam Kher, Sujata Mehta, Reema lagoo and Deep Dhillon also played significant characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by none other than well knwon music director Bappi Lahiri while the songs were crooned by Kumar Sanu, Mohammed Aziz, Kavita Krishnamurthy etc.

Young and beautiful Roshni Verma ( Dimple Kapadia ) is living alongwith her mother and a younger siser, Anju ( Dimpy ). Roshni wants to be a police officer like her father and therefore works hard for making her dream a reality. His hard work pays off and she is appointed as the police inspector of the Santa Cruz Police Station. She arrests Dheeraj Kumar, son of the Home Minister, Anna Patil ( Sadashiv Amrapurkar ), in the charge of molesting a girl. But Dheeraj is found innocent in the court and is released. After then Dheeraj performs rape with Anju and as a result of this she goes in coma.

But this time also there is no evidence against Dheeraj. It is then Roshni decides to confront Anna Patil and his son but ends up killing Anna’s two associates. Now Roshni is on a run from police as well as Anna’s goons. Roshni is arrested by police and is then torchered brutally. Roshni’s mother decides to hire a lawyer for her but no lawyers wants to accept this case. Then she meets with a lawyer named Avinash Kapoor ( Jeetendra ), who undertakes to defend Roshni. But little does Roshni and her mother knows is that Avinash is also on the side of Anna Patil.
