Cute bollywood actor, Abhay Deol, was born on March 15, 1976 in Mumbai, India. Famous veteran bollywood actor Dharmendra is his paternal uncle. He made his Hindi film debut with a romatic movie titled Socha Na Tha in which he was co-starred alongside sexy damsel, Ayesha Takia. The film recieved good response from the audiences and did moderate business at the box office. The movie was produced by Dharmendra for him. After that he was seen opposite beautiful Soha Ali Khan in another romantic love story titled Ahista Ahista.

He then worked in multistarrer Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.. He starred opposite Minissha Lamba in the film. The movie emerged to be his first major box office success and he also won critical accliams for his performance in the film. His next film Ek Chalis Ki Local opposite sexy seductress, Neha Dhupia, also managed to do average business at the box office window.

His last released film was 2007 released Manorama : Six Feet Under. Though the movie was proved out to be a disaster at the box office but he won several accliams for his good performance in the role of, detective Satyaveer. It is interesting to note that till now all of the films he has starred in have been made by debutant directors. His next two film to be released this year are Meridian and Dev D.
