Yesteryear romantic bollywood flick, Abroo, directed by C. L. Rawal was released in the year 1968. The movie starred Deepak Kumar and Vimi in lead roles while Ashok Kumar, Lalita Pawar, Sunder, Jeevan, Rehman, Tun Tun and Nirupa Roy also played significant characters in the film. The hit evergreen melodious music of the movie was directed by the music directors Master Sonik and Om Prakash Sharma in collaboration while the songs were beautifully crooned by Mohammed Rafi, Mukesh and Asha Bhonsle.

The movie starts with a guy nmaed Manish ( Deepak Kumar ), who is a doctor by profession. He meets with a beautiful girl named Neena ( Vimi ) in Kashmir and get attracted towards her. After few more meeting they both falls in love with each other. Manish’s brother is a close friend of Neena’s brother-in-law, Shekhar ( Ashok Kumar ). Problem arises when Neena’s sister dies in an accident but before her death extracts a promise from Neena that she will marry her husband. Neena get married to Shekhar.

Heartbroken, Manish also gets a job in Kashmir. He is asked to stay at Shekhar’s resident by his brother. Manish and Neena once again rekindle their love relationship but soon realizes their mistakes and decides to keep a distance from each other. Shekhar is poisoned by someone and the blame comes of Manish. Manish is arrested by police and is presented in court. Manish get shcoked to see that his own brother demanding death sentence for him.
