Aitraaz was a thriller movie released on November 12, 2004 under the banner of Mukta Arts Ltd. The movie has been directed by Abbas Burmawalla and Mustan Burmawalla and produced by Subhash Ghai. The actors in the lead roles were Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor and Amrish Puri while the roles of Paresh Rawal and Anu Kapoor were also important. Music of the film was directed by Himesh Reshammiya and the songs were sung by Alka Yagnik, Alisha Chinoy, Jayesh Gandhi, Udit Narayan and Adnan Sami.

The trio of Abbas, Mustan and Akshay has always been hit as is evident from his debut film Khiladi produced by thriller experts Abbas Mustan. This is a story about Raj Malhotra ( Akshay Kumar ) who is now a big name in Telecom Industry. He had a good future until he was thought guilty. Priya ( Kareena Kapoor ), wife of Raj, is a sweet and kind hearted woman. She loves him a lot and stands for him in his bad times. Sonia Sharma ( Priyanka Chopra ) is Raj’s boss’s wife and the character whom the complaint focussed. She wanted everything that she loved and wanted to achieve it at any cost.

Ram Choitrani ( Annu Kapoor ) is the defence lawyer that tried to help Raj but the case got him entangled in a web. Ranjit Roy ( Amrish Puri ) is Raj’s boss and shares a not so good relation with Sonia. Everything was going absolutely fine for Raj and he didn’t even imagine that some day he would be standing in the court with the most dreadful charge. Sonia pushed him to go to an upper level with her and when he disapproved her, she charged him with some charge.
