Ameer Admi Garib Admi was an action film released in the year of 1985. The movie was directed by Amjad Khan and produced by Shehly Khan and Vinay Sinha. The main roles in the movie were played by Shatrughan Sinha, Amjad Khan, Zeenat Aman and Imtiyaz Khan while the presence of Kalpana Iyer, Kader Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Rabia Ameen, Parveen Babi and Birbal supported the film. The music of the film was directed by R D Burman while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar, Shailendra Singh, Asha Bhosle and Lata Mangeshkar.

Ameer Admi Garib Admi was an action flick that was like the other movies produced with the same genre. The story of the movie revolved mostly around a man named Subhash Gaekwad who is a worker who worked in a factory mill operated by Lal and partners. The story of the movie takes a turn when one day Lal decides to not to pay his workers resulting in an indefinite strike by the workers. Lal was emotionless with them and the strike turns out to be a severe one.

Soon the strike involved police force. Subash lived with his lovely wife and a small child in a small house. There was no way of his income which resulted in him getting very poor and soon he remained with no choice but to start begging. Another twist in the story comes when one day the leader of the union gives a key to Subhash and dies afterwards. Subhash comes to know that the key is of a locker, located in a Mosque. The locker contained an audio cassette that contained the voice recording of Lal threatening to kill the leader.
