Anaam was a romantic movie released on November 20, 1992. The movie was directed by Ramesh Modi and produced by Vinod S Choudhary. The main roles in the movie were played by Armaan Kohli, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Ayesha Jhulka and Laxmikant Berde while Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Kiran Kumar and Tej Sapru were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by Nadeem Saifee and Shravan Kumar while the songs were sung by Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sadhana Sargam and Sarika Kapoor.

Anaam was just another romantic movie with nothing special about it. The movie starts displaying a Fiat car lying unclaimed at the Blue Ribbon Hotel which belonged to Ghanshyamdas Gupta. The Bombay Police Inspector Angre ( Sadashiv Amrapurkar ) was assigned this task to search for this stolen car. The culprit has been caught and is currently in the hospital as he is claiming a memory loss and had tried to choke his life to death.

The culprit is then, one day, claimed to be his son Sikandar ( Armaan Kohli ), of a wealthy industrialist. He takes him home and arranges Roopesh ( Anant Mahadevan ) for his companion. Meanwhile Angre continues to investigate and finds that Sikandar is a Puna based Jony K. D’Souza who is a career thief and also a person who has killed his wife Janice ( Reshma Singh ) and also his companion Roopesh while going back to Bombay. Angre deduce that Sikandar must be in Bombay since he left at Dadar railway station.
