Anpadh was a family drama released in the year of 1978. The movie was directed as well as produced by Sagar. The major roles in the movie were played by Parikshit Sahani, Vijayendra, Sarika and Birbal while the roles of Ashok Kumar, Zarina Wahab and Deven Verma were equally important. The songs of the movie were sung by Lata Mangeshkar.

Anpadh was a family flick that had nothing much to offer to the audience but its release was noticed. The movie was directed by the famous director cum producer Sagar who had produced many movies earlier like Maya Bazar released in 1932, Shahar Ka Jadu released in 1934 and Manmohan released in 1936 while he made his debut as a producer with the movie Romantic Prince released in 1931. He has also sung for Julie released in 1975.

The male lead in the film was played by Parikshit Sahani who has acted in several movies like Samaj Ko Badal Dalo released in 1970, Hindustan Ki Kasam released in 1974, Desh Premee released in 1982 and Galion Ka Badshah released in 1989 among others while his debut movie was Anokhi Raat released in 1969. The female lead in the film was played by Sarika who has acted in films like Majhli Didi released in 1967, Shyam Tere Kitne Naam released in 1977 and Waqt Waqt Ki Baat released in 1982 while her first film was Swarg Se Sunder Desh Hamara released in 1959.
