Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya was a musical family drama released on August 15, 1997. The movie was produced by Sohail Maklai and the director of the movie was by Rahul Rawail. The main roles were played by Bobby Deol, Aishwarya Rai, Anupam Kher and Shammi Kapoor. The music of the movie was directed by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and the singers were Sonu Nigam, Asha Bhosle, Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. The lyrics were written by Javed Akhtar.

The movie presents Kapoor family, as one of the prestigious people of the society. Their daughter Ashi ( Aishwarya Rai ) was grown up and they were looking for a suitable match for her. Ashi’s father Kailashnath ( Anupam Kher ), was friendly with Mr. Malhotra’s family. Their son Rohit Malhotra ( Sunny Deol ) too had come of age. So they decided to marry Ashi and Raj. Ashi being a modern girl wanted to check out what kind of guy Rohit is.

So she goes to Switzerland where Rohit was in some kind of business. She meets Booby Oberoi ( Bobby Deol ) and confuses him with Rohit. Both developed love for each other, Kapoor family understanding the situation fixed their marriage. The twist arises when Kailashnath was found the prime suspect of a money scandal. Booby’s mother, Gayetri Oberoi ( Beena ) helped police in the case and Kailashnath was found guilty. Kapoor family becomes furious and they call off the marriage. What will the lovers do?
