Beqabu was a romantic movie with a bit of action released on 12 January 1996.The movie was produced and directed by N.Chandra. The star caste of the movie has Sanjay Kapoor and Mamta Kulkarni in the lead roles. The movie also starred Amrish Puri, Shakti Kapoor, Mohan Kapoor, Guddi Maruti, Ashok Kumar and Himani Shivpuri in supporting roles. The music director of the movie was Anu Malik. The main singers were Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. Abhijeet and Remo Fernandez also sang a single song each.

Raja Verma alias Ronnie ( Sanjay Kapoor ) plays a conman in the movie. He lived on the streets of the city. He was born and brought up in a middle class family. Raja lives a lonely and a secluded life with his friend D.P. and his grandfather who is also his guru. Once in a bank robbery raja bumps into an international terrorist Zanjhar Singh ( Mohan Kapoor )and gets him arrested. Zanjhar Singh later escapes and now wants raja dead. The ACP Amritlal Bakshi ( Amrish Puri ) hides raja in Rashmi’s ( Mamta Kulkarni )house where they meet for the first time and instantly fall in love with each other.

Rashmi’s parents give raja all the love and affection, which he never got in his life. However, when raja wanted to marry Rashmi they said no to the marriage. Therefore, the duo ran away and married each other. Later Zanjhar Singh’s men caught them. They escaped but Rashmi was injured. To keep people around him safe raja goes to a faraway place. However, his past continues to haunt him and he comes back and the people around him. He comes back to fight the terrorist putting his life on stake.
