Besahara was a social and family drama released in the year of 1987. The movie was directed by B R Ishara and produced by S Waris Ali. The significant roles in the movie were played by Rajan Sippy, Bharat Kapoor, Vidyashree and Kader Khan while Priya Tendulkar and Shashikala were also there in the film.

Though the movie was a special movie to the director, the movie was also an important flick for the actress Vidyashree for whom it was her first movie as an actor. She later did movies like Maut Ki Saza and Aaj Ka Samson released in 1991.
