The action thriller Boom was released on September 19, 2003 under the banner of Quest Films. The movie was directed by Kaizad Gustad and produced by Ayesha Shroff. The lead roles were played by Amitabh Bachchan, Gulshan Grover, Jackie Shroff and Padma Lakshmi while the roles of Madhu Sapre and Katrina Kaif were equally important. The songs of the movie were sung by Ila Arun, Soumya Raoh, Sonu Kakkar, Sandeep Chowta, Sunitha Sarathy and Sukhwinder Singh.

Boom is written and directed by Kaizad Gustad who had earlier produced the movie Bombay Boys. The movie consists of many famous and big stars who lines up to play the characters involved in Underworld. The story of the movie revolves around three hot supermodels Anu Gaekwad ( Madhu Sapre ), Sheila Bardez ( Padma Lakshmi ) and Rina Kaif ( Katrina Kaif ) who are the best not in India but also in International fashion. The movie starts when a famous diamond-encrusted fashion show at the Gateway of India goes terribly wrong.

The mishaps that occurred were, Anu tripped on the ramp and the depressed model picks up a fight with her friends Sheila and Rina along with another model on the ramp itself. In the brawl that happened, model’s hair open up and the precious diamonds, that were supposed to be smuggled out of the country, falls on the ramp that were snatched by the celebrities. Diamonds were stolen by Chote Mia’s ( Jackie Shroff ) men and were supposed to be handed over to his elder brothers in Dubai. Bade Mia ( Amitabh Bachchan ) wanted the diamonds back at any cost.
