Bollywood blockbuster movie, Bunty Aur Bubbly, directed by Shaad Ali was released on 27 May 2005. The movie starred Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukherjee and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played a guest appearance in the movie. The superhit music of the film was given by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The movie proved out to be one of the biggest hits of the year. The hot item number picturised on Aishwarya Rai, Amitabh and Abhishek became quite a rage between the people. The film ends up winning three filmfare awards that year.

The movie starts with Rakesh Trivedi ( Abhishek Bachchan ), who is residing in a small village with his family. Rakesh has big dreams and always think to make it big one day. On the other hand, Vimmi Saluja ( Rani Mukherjee ) belongs to a Punjabi family. She always dreams of becoming Miss India one day. When Rakesh and Vimmi’s parents pressurize them and give ultimatum to work according to their will, they sneak out in the dark of the night. They meets with each other at a train station and befriends each other.

But when they arrive mumbai for fulfilling their respective dreams, their dreams gets completely shattered. Both of them finds themself cheated. Then they decide to go on the wrong way of making money so that they could become popular. They con a corrupt person and take money they believe is not earned correctly by him. They adopts the fake names of ‘Bunty’ and ‘Babli’and starts conning rich people. Soon their friendship leads to romance and they get married to each other. But still they are not in the mood to quit this conning process. ACP Dashrath Singh ( Amitabh Bachchan ), is now on the hunt of catching them red handed. Then, Rakesh and Vimmi have a child after which they decide to quit conning for the sake of their child. But they are then ironically captured by Dashrath. But after hearing their story, he lets them go and closes the case file of Bunty Aur Bubbly.
