Bollywood movie, Caravan, directed by Nasir Hussain was released in the year 1971. The movie starred ‘Jumping-jack’, Jeetendra and beautiful Asha Parekh in lead roles while Helen and Aruna Irani played the supporting roles in the movie. The superhit music of the film was given by R.D. Burman and the songs were sung by Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle and Kishore Kumar. the lyrics of the songs were written by Majrooh Sultanpuri sahab.The movie was well recived by the audiences as well as by critics and went on to do well at the box office.

The movie starts with a beautiful young woman, Sunita ( Asha Parekh ) who gets married to, Rajan ( Ravindra Kapoor ). Later she finds out that Rajan wants to kill her with the help of his girlfriend ( Helen ). She decides to run away from there. She decides to go to an old friend of her father’s in Bangalore. But she has no money to get there in any vehicle. She encounters Mohan ( Jeetendra ) and his sidekick who both live in a caravan. She decides to join them in the travelling caravan.

Sunita falls in love with Mohan. But another girl, Nisha, who is in the band of gypsies and travelling in the caravan, also get attracted to Mohan. Sunita’s evil hubby Rajan has conducted a manhunt to find Sunita. On the other hand, Nisha, who loves Mohan, also wants to kill her as she is coming in her way to Mohan. What will happen to Sunita and Mohan’s love story? Will they be ever able to meet in the end?
