The comedy action movie Chandni Chowk To China is going to release on January 16, 2009 under the banners of R S Entertainment, Orion Pictures and Warner Bros. The movie is being directed by Nikhil Advani and produced by Mukesh Talreja and Rohan Sippy. The important roles in the movie are being played by Akshay Kumar, Ranvir Shorey, Deepika Padukone and Mithun Chakraborty while the roles of Roger Yuan and Gordon Liu are also important. Music of the film is directed by Shankar- Ehsaan-Loy.

Chandni Chowk To China is a first ever Bollywood movie made in Kung-fu style that will make us laugh. The movie takes us on a journey from Chandni Chowk in Delhi, to Shanghai, the Great Wall and rural China, filled with comedy, action, emotion and exotic locations. The story of the movie is about Sidhu ( Akshay Kumar ) who cut vegetables in roadside food stall in Chandni Chowk in Delhi. He wanted to make it big and thus believes on astrologers, tarot readers and fake fakirs that is everyone except himself.

The twist in the story and his life comes when two people from China happens to believe that he is a reincarnation of their war hero in the past and thus takes him to China. A conman and translator named Chopstick ( Ranvir Shorey ) comes to his help. Sidhu didn’t know that he is being taken to the Promised Land to rid the Chinese village of the cruel smuggler Hojo ( Gordon Liu ). He also comes across Sakhi ( Deepika Padukone ), Ms. Tele Shoppers Media ( Ms. TSM ), who wanted to pay tribute to her dead father and motherland.
