Bollywood family drama, Chhoti Bahoo, directed by M. M. Baig was released in the year 1994. The movie starred Deepak Tijori and Shilpa Shirodkar in lead roles while Ajit Vachani, Anant Mahadevan, Tiku Talsania, Sushmita Mukherjee, Avtar Gill, Kunika, Vikas Anand, Reema Lagoo and Beena Banerjee also played important roles in the film. The melodious music of the movie was given by hit music director duo Nadeem Shravan while the songs were crooned by Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik etc.

Ravi ( Deepak Tijori ) is living a middle class lifestyle alongwith his blind father, mother, Durga ( Bindu ) and a married sister, Mohini ( Sushmita Mukherjee ), who instead of living with her in-laws and husband, spends more time in her parents house. There are some other family members too which includes Ravi’s two step brothers, Adarsh ( Ajit Vachani ) and Badal ( Anant Mahadevan ) and their wives. Ravi’s mother, Durga wants him to get married with a wealthy girl so that she can get a lot of dowry.

But Ravi falls in love with a poor girl named Radha ( Shilpa Shirodkar ) and decides to get married with her. Soon they both get married to each other. Ravi then decides to travel to city in search of a good employment. Ravi gets a good job but before he could start working there, he is asked to return home by his mother. His mother tells him that Radha is misbehaving with the whole family. Ravi slaps Radha and ask her to leave the homse immediately.
