The adventure and horror movie Darna Mana Hai was released on July 25, 2003 under the banners of K Sera Sera and Varma Corporation Ltd. The movie was directed by Prawaal Raman and produced by Ram Gopal Varma. The lead roles were enacted by Vivek Oberoi, Sanjay Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Nana Patekar while the roles of Sameera Reddy and Shilpa Shetty were also important. Music of the film was directed by Salim and Sulaiman Merchant while the songs were sung by Naresh Kamat, Ninad Kamat, Sunidhi Chauhan and Raghuveer Yadav.

The movie Darna Mana Hai directed by Prawaal Raman tries new style of narrating the story. It has six stories connected together. It is a story about six friends that spend their time in a forest besides a bonfire after their car broke down. They start discussing their life experiences and the topic shifts to the ghostly stories. The first story revolves around a married couple ( Sohail Khan, Antra Mali ) who are stuck in the middle of a dense forest. Husband goes to find some water for the over heated radiator but the wife feels that he has disappeared.

The second story is about a photographer ( Saif Ali Khan ) who checks in inside a hotel managed by manager ( Boman Irani ). He has his own rules that needed to be followed by the customers. Third story is about a school teacher ( Raghuvir Yadav ) who was annoyed with the fact that how can a dull student suddenly become the brightest. Fourth story is about a middle class housewife ( Shilpa Shetty ) who was worried about the mysterious apples she got from a vendor ( Rajpal Yadav ).
