Bollywood romantic drama, Deedar-E-Yaar, directed by Harnam Singh Rawail and written by Rahul Rawail was released in the year 1982. The movie starred Jeetendra, Rishi Kapoor and Rekha in lead roles while Nirupa Roy, Tina Munim, Reena Roy, Urmila Bhatt, Shreeram lagoo and Jagdish Raj also played significant characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was composed by the well known music director duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal while the songs were rendered by Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi, Lata mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc.

The movie starts with Nawab Akhtar Nawaz Khan ( Jeetendra ), who belongs to a reputed family of Lucknow. He meets with a guy named Javed Syed Ali Khan ( Rishi Kapoor ), who comes to his rescue when few local goons tries to kill him for some unknown reason. Javed and Akhtar then becomes very close friends. Akhtar and Javed falls in love with two beautiful girls and tell each other about it. Akhtar get shcoked to learn that Javed has also fallen in love with the same girl, Firdaus ( Tina Munim ).

Firdaus’s father refuse to allow her to get married with Javed. Then Akhtar sends his marriage proposal for Firdaus and her father immediately agrees for it. Akhtar and Firdaus get married with each other. Akhtar promise Javed that he will divorce Firdaus soon so that he can marry her later easily. But Javed is unknown to the fact that Firdaus is actually the girl with whom Akhtar is in love. What will happen now?
