Detective Naani is a suspense and comedy film that is going to release on May 22, 2009 under the banner of Bombay Duck Films. The movie is being directed by Romilla Mukherjee and produced by Jolly Mukherjee and Urmilla Chatterjee. The main roles in the movie are being played by Ava Mukherji, Ankur Nayyar, Zain Khan (child artist and Hemu Adhikari while the presence of Atul Parchure, Hemant Pandey, Sanjeeva Vatsa, Shubhangi Gokhale and Jaywant Wadkar supported the film. The music of the film is directed by Shailendra Barve.

Detective Naani is a comedy suspense film that will be releasing soon. The story of the movie revolves around the Gulmohar Complex which shows its normal and daily routine. There lived a 75 year old Naani ( Ava Mukherji ) who is independent and was returning from her usual and daily morning walk to her home where she observes that a little girl was peeping down from her window at the third floor. The surprising thing about this is that the flat belongs to a childless couple.

On catching Naani’s eye, the girl hides quickly. But Naani was curious to know more about her and this curiosity of her leads to a murder case. She soon finds herself standing at the centre of a murder case where some people will find her helpful and some not. She tells her story to the CID Inspector Bhatia ( Ankur Nayyar ) which does not believe her. So she transforms into a detective. She uses her skills and intelligence to know more about the case and the girl.
