Shammi Kapoor and Mala Sinha starrer romantic comedy Dil Tera Deewana was released in the year 1962. The movie was directed by B. Ramakrishnaiah Panthulu and written by Inder Raj Anand. The other starcast of the movie includes Mehmood, Om Prakash, Pranb, Mumtaz Begum, Shubha Khote, Manmohan Krishna and Mohan Choti in important characters. The evergree hit music of the movie was composed by none other than veteran music director duo Shankar-Jaikishen while the songs were rendered by Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar etc.

Mohan ( Shammi Kapoor ) is a spoilt son of a wealthy guy named Diwan Badriprasad ( Ulhas ). Mohan is forced by his father to go and live with a retired army captain, Dayaram ( Om Prakash ) so that he can learn some discipline from him. But Mohan plays a trick and sends his friend named Anokhe ( Mehmood ) there in place of him. Anokhe arrives at Dayaram’s house and is well terated by both Dayaram and his daughter named Malti ( Shubha Khote ). Anokhe soon falls in love with Malti and she too starst loving him.

On the otherhand, Mohan meets witha beautiful girl named Meena ( Mala Sinha ) and instantly falls in love with her. Meena is living a poor life alongwith her blind father. But soon pproblem arises when Capatain Dayaram revelas that Anokhe is already married to another women and is not who is claiming to be. He reveals that Anokhe is Mohan’s firned and works as an autorickshaw driver. He tells this to Mohan’s father. Now what Badriprasad will do with Mohan?
