Former bollywood actor, Yusuf Khan or Dilip Kumar, popularly known as the ‘Tragedy King‘ of bollywood industry, was born on December 11, 1922 in Peshawar, Pakistan. He is married to former beautiful bollywood actress, Saira Banu. He won 8 Filmfare Best Actor Award in his whole career. He also recieved Lifetime Achievment Award in the year 1992. He started off his acting career with a flop movie titled Jwar Bhata. He gave his first big hit film in the form of Jugnu. His next movie titled Andaz in which he worked with legend Raj Kapoor also did well at the box office. He also got the title of ‘Tragedy king’ after his performances in the films like Deedar, Devdas, Madhumati etc.

He then played the role of Prince, Jehangir, son of Akbar in the historical film Mughal-e-Azam in which he co starred beautiful Madhubala. He also produced a movie titled Ganga Jamuna in the year 1961. He then gave a series of flop films follwed by a superduper hit movie titled Ram Aur Shyam in which he played the double role for the first time in his career. He then took a break from bollywood movies and returned with ahit movie titled Kranti in 1981. He played supporting roles in some hit films like Shakti, Vidhaata and Mashaal.

But his biggest hit film in the supporting role came in the form of Subhash Ghai’s action drama Karma. He also starred in his next superhit film Saudagar in 1991 which also starred another legend Raj Kumar in the lead roles. Bollywood actress, Manisha Koirala made her debut in that film. Dilip was said to be romantically linked with actress Kamini Koshal and Madhubala but ended up marrying gorgeous Saira Banu.
