Bollywood romantic action thriller, Diljalaa, directed by Babu and written by Vinay Shukla was released in the year 1987. The movie starred Jackie Shroff and Farha Naaz in lead roles while danny Denzongpa, Asha patel, Karan Sharma, Rita Bhaduri, Farhad Khan, Annu Kapoor, Sudhir pandey, Rajesh Puri and Sushma Seth also played important characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the well knwon music director Bappi lahiri while the songs were rendered by Indiveer, Asha Bhonsle, Kishore Kumar etc.

The movie starts with a young and beautiful girl named Mamta ( Farha Naaz ), who lives alongwith his father, Ratanmuni Gupta ( Danny Denzongpa ). Ratan works as a manager in Sharda Chemicals. Mamta studies in a college. Ratan wants Mamta to get married with Munna ( Jackie Shroff ). But on the day of her engagement with Munna, Mamta humiliates Ratan, Munna and his mother Sharda. After few days, several children dies after being injected with injections of Sharda Chemicals. Sharda is arrested by police and asa result of this humiliation, Munna also commits suicide.

Ratan then take over the Sharda Chemicals. Ratan now wants Mamta to get married with Azad ( Satish Shah ). Azad and Mamta agrees to get married with each other. They even get physical with each other. On the day of her engagemnet, mamta reveals that the guy with whom she got physical was not the real Azad. She then reveals that real Azad is someone else. What will happen now? Who is that guy pretending to be Azad in front of Mamta?
