Drishti was a family drama released in 1991 under the banner of Udbhav Dreamzone. The movie was directed by Govind Nihalani and Sanjay Upadhyay and the producer too was Govind Nihalani. The top roles in the movie were played by Shekhar Kapoor, Dimple Kapadiya and Tabassum. Other nice roles were played by Irfan, Neena Gupta, Tamana and Vijay Kashyap. The music of the movie was directed by Kishori Amonkar. The singers were Raghunandan and Kishori Amonkar. The lyrics were written by Dev Kohli while the story writer was Govind Nihalani.

The movie is about a husband cheating his wife and later regretting for what he did. In the movie Sandhaya ( Dimple Kapadia ) and Nikhil ( Shekar Kapoor ) are husband wife and having good time with their daughter Rashmi ( Tabassum ). They throw a party for their friends. Sandhaya and Prabha ( Meeta Vasisht ) get really drunk and both start sharing their married lives experiences with Sandhaya emphasizing that her is the best life, a wife could ever dream of.

The twist arise in the story when Nikhil reveals to Sanhdhaya that he is love with a girl and now he wants to spend his life with her. Sandhaya gets shocked and tries to make him understand that this is not right. She begs of him not to leave her but Nikhil tells her he wants divorce. A year later Sandhaya and Nikhil meet with Nikhil wanting to come back in Sandhaya’s life but now she tells him that she is having an affair with someone and there is no place for him in her life. The movie had a different plot with some good realistic scenes.
