Bollywood suspense thriller, Dulaara, directed by Vimal Kumar was released on January 28, 1994. The movie starred Govinda and Karishma Kapoor in lead roles while Ranjeet, Farida Jalal, Gulshan Grover, Rakesh Bedi and Satyajit puri also playes significant characters in the movie. The music of the film was given by duo Nikhil and Vinay while the songs were sung by Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik and Sadhana Sargam. Very few people knows that Govinda himself also rendered a song in the movie.

The movie starts with Raja ( Govinda ) who was adopted by Mrs. Florence Joyner in his childhood. Raja is now a young guy and studying in a college. His friend group includes Deepak ( Satyajit Puri ), Gulshan aka Gullu ( Gulshan Grover ) and Murari Lal ( Rakesh Bedi ). Raja is in love with a beautiful girl in his college named Priya ( Karishma Kapoor ). He tries to woo Priya but fails. But soon Priya also falls in love with him. Professor Akash Verma ( Tej Sapru ) kills Deepak’s sister and in anger Raja kills him.

Priya’s brother, Vijay Chauhan ( Ranjeet ), who is a police officer becomes suspicious of Raja. Vijay also learns that Raja is the son of a gangster named James who was killed in an police encounter. Vijay decides to arrest Raja in the charge of killing Deepak’s sister and Professor Verma. Now Raja is on a run from the law and in this his four friends are also helping him. But how will Raja prove himself innocent in both the cases?
