The Hindi social film Dus Kahaniyaan was released on December 7, 2007 under the banners of White Feather Films and Eros Entertainment. The movie has been directed by Hansal Mehta, Rohit Roy, Apoorva Lakhia and Meghna Gulzar while produced by Sanjay Gupta and Sanjay Dutt. The actors in major roles of the film are Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Nana Patekar, Aftab Shivdasani, Neha Dhupia, Manoj Bajpai, Dia Mirza, Sudhanshu Pandey, Naseruddin Shah, Anita Hasnandani, Minissha Lamba and Shabana Azmi. The singers of the film are Anand Raj Anand, Aanchal, K K, Sunidhi Chauhan and Mika Singh.

As the name of the movie suggests, Dus Kahaniyaan holds ten stories within itself although the stories are short but each story is able to convey a message. First story was about ‘Matrimony’ with Mr. & Mrs. Sarin ( Arbaaz and Mandira ) being made for each other couple as they feel. But in reality both of them had an extra marital affair and are cheating their partner. Second was the story named ‘High on the Highway’ in which the couple was so indulged in love that they didt mind waliking on the highway amongst the vehicles. In ‘Sex on the Beach’ story, Dino was instructed to write his name on the first page of the book that he found lying on the beach. This was the incident which made him lose his life.

In ‘Pooranmashi’ Amrita Singh’s daughter Minisha Lamba was about to get married before she was spotted by the villagers when she was making love to her lover. This left her daughter with no option but to give away her life. ‘Rise and Fall’ is a story about two gangsters who are also good friends but it was the want of the power that divided them and encouraged them to kill each other. ‘Rice Plate’ tells the story about a Hindu woman who didn’t want to get in contact of a Muslim but finally landed up eating his rice plate. The other stories were also very convincing.
