Bollywood romantic movie, Ek Nazar, directed by B.R, Ishara and written by Rajkumar Bedi was released in the year 1972. The movie starred Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri in lead roles while Raza Murad, Asit Sen, Manmohan, Hari Shukla, Raja Duggal, Tarun Bose, Sudhir and Nadira also played significant characetrs in the film. The melodious evergreen music of the movie was directed by none other than veteran music director duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal while the songs were crooned by Mohammed rafi, Mahendra kapoor, Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar etc.

The movie starts with young and handsome, Manmohan Akash Tyagi ( Amitabh Bachchan ), who is the only son of famous lawyer, Raghunath Tyagi ( Tarun Bose ). Akash has a strong interest in writing poems. But his father wants him to take interest in law. Akash sings one of his beautiufl poem on an occasion which is heard by a woman named Shabnam ( Jaya Bhaduri ). Akash and Shabnam gets attracted towards each other and decides to get married but the only problem in their marriage is Akash’s father.

Akash knows that Shabnam is a prostitute by profession but still she loves her and wants to help her to get free from the brotherl madam, Aminabai ( Nadira ). But before he can do anything to free her, Aminabai sells Shabnam to a man named Nawab ( Sudhir ). Shabnam kills Aminabai and is arrested by police. Now Akash wants his father to fight in the favour of Shabnam but the question is what his father thinks about this?
