The action crime movie Falak was released on April 1, 1988. The movie was directed by K Shashilal Nair and produced by V Sagar Bhagat. The main roles in the movie were played by Jackie Shroff, Madhvi, Rakhee and Anupam Kher while the presence of Supriya Pathak, S K Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Mohan Bhandari and Kiran Kumar supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Kalayanji and Anandji while the songs were sung by Amit Kumar and Alka Yagnik.

The movie Falak was an action cum crime movie that was also titled as Falak –The Sky. The story of the movie mostly revolves around two partners Murlidhar ( Anupam Kher ) and Narang ( Paresh Rawal ) who once decided to betray their third partner and then take over his business. Ramnath ( Vikram Gokhale ) who works as a watchman in the organization was shocked to see the illegal business taking place and thus decides to put a halt to this by reporting it to the police.

The twist in the story comes when the owners of the organization gets to know about Ramnath and thus kills him. Ramnath was murdered and left behind his wife and two children only to look after themselves on own. The police classify his death as an accident and the management refuses to pay any compensation to him. Years later, when his sons were grown up, they decided to take revenge from their father’s killers. They, then, started making plans for the same.
