The social movie Fashion is going to release on October 29, 2008 under the banners of UTV Motion Pictures and Bhandarkar Entertainment. The movie is being directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The actors in the lead roles in the film are Priyanka Chopra, Mugdha Godse, Arbaaz Khan and Kangna Ranaut while significant roles are played by Madhur Bhandarkar and Karan Johar. The music of the film is directed by Salim Merchant and Sulaiman Merchant while the songs are sung by Sukhwinder Singh, Shruti Pathak, Neha Bhasin and Mohit Chauhan.

It seems that the director Madhur Bhandarkar is busy producing good films and that too on social issues. He is back with his upcoming film Fashion that deals with the social issues related to the world of glamour and its dark areas. The movie successfully displays the realitites of world behind glamour, designers, business, light, modeling, endorsements and ramp shows. The story of the movie is about a supermodel that comes from a small town and aims to win several fashion shows in the metro cities. It also shows her rise and fall and how she is thrown to anonymity after winning several titles.

Fashion is the story of an ambitious girl Meghna Mathur who came from a small conservative family and still dreams to make it big in this industry even after facing resentments from her north Indian parents. But the glamour and the lime light of this industry lures her and this is why she still manages to realize her dreams. She succeeds in all her ventures and reaches to the top of her career. She now models for the big designers of the country    and is burdened with endorsements and photographers. It was not possible for her now to get back to her roots and thus accepts her fate.
