First Love Letter was a romantic movie released in 1991. The movie was produced by Pahlaj Nihalani and the director of the movie was Shiva. The main roles in the movie were played by Vivek Mushran, Manisha Koirala, Danny Denzongpa and Gulshan Grover. Other good roles were played by Reema Lagoo, Beena, Chunky Pandey and Dalip Tahil. The music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri while the singers were Asha Bhosle, Lata Mangeshkar and Kavita Krishnamurthy. The lyricist was Anjaan and the story writer was Ram Kelkar.

The movie presents the orthodox view of the society where rich people consider themselves superior over the poor. In the movie Thakur Ajit Singh ( Danny Denzongpa ) is a powerful and rich person of the village. He was amongst the bunch of people who believed in male dominance. He has a beautiful daughter named Radha ( Manisha Koirala ) and wants her to marry in a rich family. Radha fells in love with a poor boy Shyam ( Vivek Mushran ) against the will of his father.

When Thakur comes to know about all this he becomes mad and wanted Shyam dead. He gets him arrested and in the jail he was beaten by his owned policemen. Thakur’s brother Shrikant ( Dalip Tahil ) makes him understand that he should support her daughter’s love. Thakur supports them and fixes their marriage. Is this all from Thakur’s side? Is this a plan of him and his brother to teach Shyam a lesson? The movie presents some very beautiful songs. Danny as usual was brilliant.
