Bollywood movie, Fiza, written and directed by Khalid Mohammed was released on September 8, 2000. The movie starred Hrithik Roshan and Karishma Kapoor in lead roles while Neha, Jaya Bachchan and Manoj Bajpai also played significant roles in the movie. The hit music of the film was given by Anu Malik and the songs were sung by Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sonu Nigam, Asha Bhonsle, A.R. Rehman, Zubeen Garg and Jaspinder Narula. Although the movie failed to do well at the box office but it was well acclaimed by critics. Karishma Kapoor won Filmfare Best Actress award for her superb act in the film.

The movie starts with a young sweet girl, Fiza ( Karishma Kapoor ) and her mother Nishatbi ( Jaya Bachchan ). Fiza’s brother Amaan ( Hrithik Roshan ) disappears a night during the 1993 Mumbai riots. Fiza has accepted that Amaan is no longer alive but her mother still hopes that one day Amaan will return. After six years of his disappearance, Fiza, finally decides to search for Amaan as she wants to lving the life of uncertainty. And she also get succeed in finding her brother but become shocked to see that Amaan has joined a terriorist group.

Amaan tells her about the night he disappeared and how he joined the terriorist gang of Murad Khan ( Manoj Bajpai ). Fiza forces him to come back as his mother wants to see him again. Amaan finally agrees to return. But after spending few days with his family, his thoughts starts forcing him to return to the terrorist group. One day he sees two men harassing Fiza and that leads Aman to kill them. His mother commits suicide after seeing that scene. Amaan once again joins the terriorist group and he is sent to a big mission. In the end Fiza kills her brother.
