Bollywood comic caper, Garam Masala, written and directed by ace filmmaker Priyadarshan, was released on November 2, 2005. The movie starred Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Paresh Rawal, Rimi Sen, Neetu Chandra, Nargis Bagheri and Daisy Bopanna while Neha Dhupia and Rajpal Yadav also played significant roles as well in the film. The hit music of the film was given by Pritam. The film is actually a Hindi remake of a Malayalam film titled Boeing Boeing. Akshay Kumar won the Best Actor in a Comic Role for his superb comic timing in the film.

The movie starts with two good-for-nothing photographers, Shyam aka Sam ( John Abraham ) and Mac ( Akshay Kumar ). Mac is the senior photographer and Shyam is his assistant. One day their boss calls them to get some good pictures for the World Photography competition to make his magazine ‘Garam Masala’ famous. Sam visits a famous photographer and ask for a few outstanding stolen photographs. With the help of those snaps, Sam managed to win World photography competition. His boss gives him promotion and a holiday in USA. On the other hand he gives a demotion to Mac. Now Sam is the senior photographer and Mac is to assist him.

Mac plans to jealous Sam by getting three beautiful girls to be his fiancees. He arranges an empty flat and a luxury car with the help of his friend Babban ( Rajpal Yadav ). Mac gets involved with three beautiful air-hostesses, Deepti ( Daisy Bopanna ), Pooja ( Nargis Bagheri ) and Sweety ( Neetu Chandra ). Babban also arrange a housekeeper, Mambo ( Paresh Rawal ) for Mac. Mambo is a true professioanl who doesn’t care what goes on in Mac’s flat so long as his demands are fullfilled. Meanwhile, Sam returns from America. He finds that Mac is playing around with three beautiful girls at the same time. He also wants to join his friend in the act but for that he needs to befriend Mac once again.
