Gayatri Iyer is a famous Indian playback singer of bollywood industry. She is married to another famous singer named Kunal Ganjawala. She did her graduation from Indian Institute Of Management, Lucknow. Despite of being an MBA gradute from a reputed Insitute, Gayatri decided to become a full-time singer. She has sung many hit songs for the composers like Anu Malik, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Anand Raaj Anand, Himesh Reshammiya etc in her bollywood career. She made her debut as a playback singer in the 1996 released movie Loafer which starred Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chawla in lead roles.

She went on to sing songs in the films like Loafer, Muqaddar, Daanveer and Insaaf for the music director duo Anand Milind. Her first hit song came in the form of ‘Mohabbat hai mirchi’ from Zayed Khan and Esha Deol starrer Chura Liya Hai Tumne. She was even got nominated for the Stardust Award for the song. She kept on rendering successful songs in the bollywood movie such as Ek Aur Ek Gyarah, Bhoot, Riudraksh, Kismet etc.

Her next big breakthrough came in the form of the song ‘Saiyaan ji’ of multistarrer comedy flick Masti. She also rendered a song in superhit action flick Dhoom. She gave a series of hit songs in the films like Hulchul, Kya Kool Hain Hum, Salaam Namaste etc. The last movie in which she lend her voice for a song was suspense thriller raqeeb which starrer Jimmy Shergill and Tanushree Dutta in lead roles.
