The comedy movie Golmaal was released on July 14, 2006 under the banners of Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd and K Sera Sera. The movie was directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Dhillin Mehta. The lead roles were played by Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Sharman Joshi while the roles of Paresh Rawal, Sushmita Mukherjee, Sanjay Mishra, Mukesh Tiwari and Rimi Sen were equally significant. The music was directed by Vishal-Shekhar and the songs were sung by Anushka Manchandani, Kunal Ganjawala, Shaan, Javed Ali, K K and Sunidhi Chauhan.

The movie Golmaal is one of the biggest comedy movies of all time and with a kind of tagline “Fun Unlimited” it has one can definitely expect a riot of laughter. Though the movie is not made up of path-breaking stuff but yes it delivers what it promised. The movie revolves around four guys Gopal ( Ajay Devgan ), Lucky ( Tusshar Kapoor ), Mahadev ( Arshad Warsi ) and Laxmi ( Sharman Joshi ) who are fun loving but directionless guys without any job whatsoever. What they liked doing is making money by cheating people off their money.

Amongst all of them, the guy with some brain is Gopal but even he has the same principle of living his life which was to be relax and happy always. He believed in the motto, eat, drink and stay happy always. The reason why Mahadev and Lucky were jobless was that they believed that only idiots work while the wise peoples make them work according to them. Laxmi was a genuine and brilliant guy among all. One day they got thrown out of the college then Gopal asked them to reside in a bungalow owned by a blind old couple whose children were in America. Gopal pretends to be their grandson Prashant and started living in the house along with his friends.
