Hattrick is a comic movie based on theme of sports and released on March 16, 2007 under the banner of UTV Motion Pictures. The movie has been directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The main roles of the film were played by Kunal Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Rimi Sen and Paresh Rawal while there were several special appearances by Harsha Bhogle, John Abraham, Gautam Bhimani and Usha Uthup. The musc of the film has been directed by Pritam Chakraborty and Rajesh Roshan and the songs were sung by K K, Usha Uthup, Labh Jajua, Roop Kumar Rathod and Rana Mazumder.

The movie is related to the sports of cricket and as the name of the movie suggests, the story of the movie revolves around three different lives but inter linked with each other. The backdrop of the movie is of the World Cup 2007 and along with the course of the tournament the movie also discuses the journey of Indian Cricket Team. Dr. Satyajeet Chavan ( Nana Patekar ) and Madhav Anna ( Madhav Anna ) are the best friends. While Madhav is in deep love with his life cricket, Satyajeet is a doctor who hates it. He may throw the patient out if he talked about cricket.

Saby ( Kunal Kapoor ) is also a big cricket fan who prefers the game over his hot wife Kashmira ( Rimi Sen ). He prefers to watch Dhoni hit a six than love his wife. One day she also started loving the game and this was when he got to know what it felt to the other person. He was annoyed with her rising obsession for Dhoni. Hemu Patel ( Paresh Rawal ) lives in London and is also a cricket fanatic. He was an illegal settler and a victim of racism and his ultimate aim was to have the UK citizenship.
