The action thriller flick, Heera Moti was released in 1979. Ratan Mohan was the producer while Chand directed the movie. The lead cast of the movie included Shatrughan Sinha, Reena Roy and Danny Denzongpa while Om Shiv Puri, Ajit and Bindu played the supporting roles. Manna Dey, Dilraj Kaur and Mohammad Rafi sang the songs for the movie and O P Nayyar gave the music.

Neelam ( Reena Roy ) is a young self reliant girl, trained in self-defense and resides with her guardian ( Om Shiv Puri ), who is the trustee of Lord Krishna Temple. Her guardian along with her secretary’s assistance, Julie ( Bindu ) had put forward too many marriage proposals for Neelam. However, she refused all of them. Neelam was fascinated towards a young businessman, Heeralal P ( Shatrughan Sinha ).Neelam did not know much about him.

Later, it was revealed that he was faking it up, he was not what he claimed to be, but was a robber named Heera. He wanted to steal Lord Krishna’s crown and was just pretending to be in love with Neelam so that he could get the crown easily. His boss, Pratap Singh ( Ajit ) hired him for this job who in turn wished sell the expensive crown to Sheikh Bin Sheikh ( Dev Kumar ). Heera’s opponent, Moti ( Danny Denzongpa ) was hard enough to compete with .The movie shows the amazing rivalry between the two.
