Hook Ya Crook is a comedy thriller that is currently under production but will release on December 11, 2009 under the banner of UTV Motion Pictures. The movie is being directed by David Dhawan and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The major roles in the movie are played by John Abraham, Kay Kay Menon, Genelia Dsouza and Mahendra Singh Dhoni while the roles of Uday Chopra, Shreyas Talpade and Sharad Kapoor are equally important. The music of the film is directed by Pritam Chakraborty.

Hook Ya Crook is a romantic cum thriller film that is based on the backdrop of the game loved by millions of people, cricket. The movie showcases the journey of the game and how it had changed over the years. The movie also depicts the life of a boy named Viraj Pradhan ( John Abraham ) who is extremely talented and also has a deep passion for this game. He wanted to be something and decides to play for his country in the game of Cricket.

But it seemed that his life had something else in store for him when he was imprisoned for his reckless behavior. Once in there, he came to know that he was not alone there were many inmates of his who were also as passionate for Cricket as he is. No doubt he was better than the most inmates out there so he was in huge demand in there. Behind the bars, he creates his own team and started playing there. He then starts looking for a minute opportunity that can make him play for his country.
