Hum Naujawan was an action and family drama that was released in the year of 1986. The movie was directed by Dev Anand and produced by Devina. The important roles in the movie were played by Dev Anand, Tabu, Bunty Behl and Shreeram Lagoo while the roles of Ramesh Deo, Leena Das, Pinchoo Kapoor, Bharat Kapoor, Dinesh Hingoo, Altee Brar and Zarina Wahab were also significant. The music of the film was directed by R D Burman while the songs were sung by Anuradha Paudwal, Suresh Wadkar, Mohammad Aziz, Kishore Kumar, Pinaz Masani and Asha Bhosle.

Hum Naujawan was an action flick that revolved mostly around a girl named Priya ( Tabu ). The movie starts with the rape of the daughter Priya and her murder by some mysterious person. She was the only child of a Professor Hans ( Dev Anand ). Hans has applied for the job and post of principal in the Oceanic College and was hired because of his capabilities. He wanted to know the truth behind the incident and the name of the killer.

Thus Hans started his own investigations to find out the name of the person responsible for Priya’s death. He comes to a conclusion that a student Shammi ( Altee Brar ) was responsible all the incidents. He hands over all the issues to a Police Commissioner Khan ( Anupam Kher ). The Police Commissioner was the man working for the Home Minister, Desai ( Shreeram Lagoo ) and thus hands the case to him. He was none other than Shammi’s father. Thus the Home Minister destroys all the evidences. Hans was now supported by all the students of his college.
