Bollywood suspense thriller, Humraaz, directed by Abbas-Mustan was released on July 5, 2002. The movie starred Bobby Deol, Akshaye Khanna and Amisha Patel in lead roles. The hit music of the film was given by Himesh Reshammiya and Aadesh Shrivastava. This movie is supposed to be inspired of Hollywood hit A Perfect Murder. The music of the film was jighly appreciated by the audiences and also topped the music charts for some time. However, the movie recieved various Filmfare Nominations but failed to won even one of them.

The movie starts with a dance troop headed by Karan ( Akshaye Khanna ) and Priya ( Amisha Patel ). They are in love with each other. They got the opportunity to perform on a ship owned by a rich businessman named Raj Singhania ( Bobby Deol ). Raj meets Priya on the cruise and fall in love with her in the first meeting. Raj is not aware to tha fact that Karan and Priya loves each other. Raj proposes to Priya. She also agrees to marry him as Karan forces her to do so in order to take Raj’s money.

Raj and Priya get married. But after marriage, Raj’s sincerity, intellegence, attitude and true love attracts Priya’s attention towards him. She starts to develop feelings for Raj. She falls in love with him. She also tells it to Karan who blackmail her and ask for a big amount for not disclosing their relationship in front of Raj. But very soon Raj reveals the relationship between Karan and Priya. He hires a killer to kill Priya. What happens next is the real suspense of the film.
