Jaan-e-mann was a romantic love triangle that has been released on October 20, 2006 under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The movie had been directed by Shirish Kunder and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The lead roles were played by Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta and Salman Khan while supporting roles were played by Anupam Kher and Aman Verma. The music of the film has been directed by Anu Malik and the songs were sung by Sonu Nigam, Sukhwinder Singh, Sadhana Sargam, Kunal Ganjawala, Sunidhi Chauhan and Adnan Sami.

There have been many films in Bollywood under the genre of music but no one can really compete with Jaan-e-mann which was a musical film true sense. The story of the movie goes back and forth in with respect to time and place and is actually a love triangle involving three characters Suhaan Kapoor ( Salman Khan ), Agastya Rao ( Akshay Kumar ) and Piya Goyal ( Preity Zinta ). The weakest thing about the film was its script else the movie would have been a perfect fairytale. Suhaan is a rock singer, a cool dude and a famous star. He has many dreams and wants to fulfill them at any cost.

Agastya is the perfect momma’s boy and is so simple and innocent that he can never talk to his love. He even can’t communicate his feelings to his love forget about dating. He is sweet geek and shy guy who firmly believes in love. Piya is the girl whom both Suhaan and Agastya loved. She is a cute girl with other qualities like wealth and brain, in other words a perfect example of beauty with brains. Three of them were in the same college but after ten years Suhaan is complete with exception of love in his life. Even Agastya was without love until one day they met each other accidentally.
