Jai Kishan was an action family drama released on June 10, 1994 under the banner of Shalimar International. The movie was directed by Sunil Agnihotri and produced by Narottam V Purohit and Vijay K Ranglani. The important roles in the movie were played by Akshay Kumar, Chandni, Ayesha Jhulka and Reema Lagoo while Aroon Bakshi and Avtar Gill were also there in the movie. Music of the film was directed by Anand Chitragupt and Milind Chitragupt while the songs were sung by Aroon Bakshi, P.K. Mishra, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik and Poornima.

Jai Kishan was a family movie directed by Sunil Agnihotri who has been known for movies for this genre only. The movie is also an action movie but do not have much loud scenes. The story of the movie revolves mostly around Inspector Pratap Singh ( Avtar Gill ). The movie starts when Inspector Pratap Singh is killed, while one of his son’s, Kishen ( Akshay Kumar ), goes missing and the other one Jai ( Akshay Kumar ) loses his vision.

Inspector Pratap Singh’s wife ( Reema Lagoo ) was the only evidence in the killing of her husband. She witnessed the murder of her husband at the hands of three dangerous criminal dons. Years later when her sons matured, both of them holds some form of art. While Jai is the master of self defence through the use of sword, Kishen is a thief. The twist in the story comes when Kishen accidentally crosses path with the three dons who killed his father. But none of them knew about the other initially.
