Bollywood action thriller, Janbaaz, directed by Feroz Khan and written by K. K. Shukla was released on June 10, 1986. The movie starred Feroz Khan, Anil Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia in lead roles while Puneet Issar, Shakti kapoor, Amrish Puri, Sushma Seth, Raza Murad, Rekha, Sridevi, Kuylbhushan Kharbanda and Dalip Tahil also played significant characters in the film. The hit music of the movie was composed by none other than veteran music director duo Kalyanji-Anandji while the songs were rendered by Kishore Kumar, Manhar Udhas, Sadhana Sargam, Sapna Mukherjee etc.

The movie starst with two brothers named Rajesh ( Feroz Khan ) and Amar ( Anil Kapoor ). Rajesh is a police officer by profession while Amar is a casanova and always love to be between girls. Rajesh was in love with a girl named Seema ( Sridevi ) but unfortunately she dies because of taking high doses of drugs. Rajesh is now determined to destroy the business of this dangerous thing. The underworld don named Raja ( Raza Murad ) kills one of the friend of Rajesh and Amar’s father, Rana Vikram Singh ( Amrish Puri ) and his friend’s daughter named Reshma ( Dimpla Kapadia ) comes to live in his house.

Amar meets with Reshma and falls in love with her. Reshma too starts developing feeling for him. Rana reveals about Amar and Reshma’s relationship and ask him to forget about her as she is not suitable for their family. But Amar refuse to do so. Amar finds out Reshma in the company of a guy named Vikas ( Dalip tahil ) and ends up killing him. Amar is now on a run from police and his won brother, rajesh has been assigned the job of arresting him.
