Bollywood suspense thriller, Junoon, directed by Mahesh Bhatt and written by Robin Bhatt was released on September 18, 1992. The movie starred Rahul Roy and Pooja Bhatt in lead roles while Avinash Wadhavan, Mushtaq Khan, Tom Alter, Avtar Gill, Homi Wadia, Roma Malik, Rakesh Bedi and Shubha Khote also played significant characters in the film. The hit melodious music of the movie was directed by the hit well knwon music director duo Nadeem-Shravan while the songs were rendered by S. P. Balasubramaniam, Abhijeet, Kavita Paudwal, Vipin Sachdeva and Anuradha Paudwal.

The movie starts with a guy named Vikram aka Vicky ( Rahul Roy ), who goes on hunting alongwith his friend on full moon night. His friend is killed by a curse man-eating tiger but he is also assumed to be dead. He is admitted in the hospital where he once again goes alive like a miracle. He gets attracted to a nurse named Nita ( Pooja Bhatt ) anmd decides to get married with her. However, Nita loves a struggling singer named Ravi ( Avinash Wadhavan ). But circumstances forces Nita to get married with Vicky. Nita ask Ravi to go away from her life as she does not want to spoil her married life.

Vicky and Nita goes on their honeymoon. But some murders starts happening in the hotel. Police reveals that the murders are performed by a man-eating tiger. But fails to believe that tehre is a tiger in the hotel. Meanwhile Nita gets suspicious about Vicky who always goes outside in the night and returns only in the morning. She is unknown to the fact that Vicky actually trasforms into a man-eating tiger at midnight and all the killng in the hotel is being performed by none other than her husband - Vicky.
