Mithun Chakraborthy and Rambha starrer action packed thriller, Jurmana, was released in the year 1996. The movie was directed by the well known director T.L.V. Prasad. The other starcast of the movie includes Ashwini Bhave, Shakti Kapoor, Ani Nagrath, Shashi Kiran, Kiran Kumar, Raza Murad, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Ronit Roy, and Brijesh Tiwari also played important roles in the film. The music of the movie was composed by the music director duo Sameer Sen and Dilip Sen while the songs were sung by Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Sadhana Sargam etc.

Inspector Vijay Saxena ( Mithun Chakraborthy ) is an honest police officer. He is in love with a beautiful rich girl named Pooja Kumari Tiwari ( Rambha ) and is planning to get married with her soon. But Pooja’s father, who is the chief minister of the state, ( Raza Murad ) does not want his daughter ot get married with a police officer. Vijay then decides to foregt about Pooja and get married with an advocate named Kiran ( Ashwini Bhave ). Soon Kiran gives birth to a daughter. But life is not so simple for Vijay and KIran as their professional commitments make them to stand against each other.

Problem starts when Pooja once again enters in the life of Vijay. She is still unmarried but wants to stay with the family. Destiny plays its game and Kiran is killed by a criminal. Police fails to catch the culprit and then Vijay decides to catch the killer on his own. But before he could start his search, he learns that Bobby has been kidnapped by someone. Now Vijay has to discover who is actually behind all these bad things happened in his life?
