Kaun Sachcha Kaun Jhutha was a suspense thriller released in 1997. The movie was directed by Partho Ghosh and the producers were Kamlesh Doshi and Rakesh Roshan. The main roles in the movie were played by Rishi Kapoor, Sridevi and Suresh Oberoi while Tinu Anand, Mohnish Behl and Gulshan Grover also had some good roles. The music of the movie was given by Rajesh Roshan and the singers were Jyoti, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu.

In the movie Karan ( Rishi Kapoor ) plays the role of a mentally retarded person who escapes from prison. He sees Sapna ( Sridevi ), a psychiatrist and attacks her. I.G of Police ( Suesh Oberoi ) requests Sapna to treat Karan to which she agrees. Karan started feeling comfortable with her and his condition was getting better. Karan became alright and their sweet encounters soon turned into love. Karan decided to marry her.

Sapna was not ready for marriage as she was hiding from Karan that she had killed someone. When Sapna told all this to Karan she was handcuffed by him. Actually Karan was a police officer and this was a plan to trap Sapna. She was sentenced to death by the court. Karan helped her to escape from police custody and now both were in search of some clues that can save her. The movie is really an interesting one.
