Former sizzling bollywood actress, Kimi Katkar, was born on 11 December 1964 in Mumbai, India. She worked in Hindi films for nine years from year 1985 to 1993. She is married to Shantanu Sheroy, who is a film producer. She made her debut in bollywood industry with 1985 released Tarzan. She managed to get the attentions of several filmmakers by exposing a lot in the film. She was starred opposite Hemant Birje in the film. But the movie failed to do well at the box office.

She was next seen opposite Anil Kapoor in Kala Bazaar. The movie also starred Jackie Shroff and Farha in important roles. This time the movie clicked and went on to do good business at the box office. She also gave another hit film in the form of Govinda starrer Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharni.However, her next film Darya Dil in which she was once again seen opposite Govinda failed to get success at the box office.

She also did some movies opposite Sanjay Dutt after which she was touted as romantically linked with him. She got the breakthrough when she was casted opposite Amitabh Bachchan in multistarrer Hum. The song ‘ Jumma Chumma de de ‘ became a huge hit and gave a boost to her career. She did some more movies after that but none of them managed to do good for her acting career. She then married Shantanu and took the retirment from bollywood movies.
