Kyun! Ho Gaya Na was a romantic comedy movie released on August 13, 2004 under the banner of Sahara One. The movie was directed by Samir Karnik and produced by Boney Kapoor. The main roles were played by Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Vivek Oberoi and Rati Agnihotri while the roles of Om Puri and Tinu Anand were also important. Music of the film was directed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and the songs were sung by Sneha Pant, Mahalakshmi Iyer, Dominique, Vijay Prakash and Kunal Ganjawala.

The producer of the film Boney Kapoor had earlier produced a movie “Run” with Abhishek Bachchan that didn’t do much in the film industry and now he is back again with the Shahenshah of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan. The director Samir Karnik had also assisted the famous director Vidhu Vinod Chopra in the movie Kareeb. The movie is a romantic comedy about love and life. The lead roles in the movie are played by the then love birds Aishwarya Rai and Vivek Oberoi.

The movie is about Diya Malhotra ( Aishwarya Rai ) who had spent the most days of her life in a tea plantation town. She was brought up by her father Malhotra ( Tinnu Anand ) single handedly after her mothr died. Diya was involved in social work with Malhotra’s friend Raj Chauhan ( Amitabh Bachchan ) and was required to give her exam in Mumbai. She came across Arjun Khanna ( Vivek Oberoi ) in some odd situations and later found that both would be living in the same house as his parents ( Om Puri &  Rati Agnihotri ) are her father’s friends.
