Bollywood movie, Laadla, directed by Raj Kanwar was released on 17 March 1994. The movie starred Anil Kapoor, Sridevi and Raveena Tandon in lead roles while Farida Jalaal, Anupam Kher and Shakti Kapoor also played important charcaters in the film. The hit music of the film was given by music director duo Anand Milind while the songs were sung by Udit Narayan, Vinod Rathod and Alka Yagnik. The movie did well at the box office and went on to become one of the biggest hit of that year.

The movie starts with Raj Verma aka Raju ( Anil Kapoor ), who lives with his physically disabled Mother, Gayatri Verma ( Farida Jalal ). Raju saves the life of a rich man named Laxminarayan Jaitely ( Anupam Kher ) and gets job in his factory which is actually run by his daughter, Sheetal Jaitely ( Sridevi ). Sheetal Jaitely is an ambitiuos unmarried girl who thinks herself more capable of doing things as compared to mens. But Raju gives a strong competition to her and manages to confront her many times.

Raju becomes the new union leader of the workers. Kajol ( Raveena Tandon ), is also an employee at that factory and works as the personal secretary of Sheetal. Raju insults Sheetal badly in front of workers and she decides to take revenge from him in unique style. She proposes him for marraige but he turns down her offer. She then forces his mom for their marraige and she agrees. Raju having no other choice agrees to marry with her. But after marraige Sheetal shows her true colours. Now Raju decides to teach her the lesson of her life.
