Bollywood romantic drama, Leela, written and directed by Somnath Sen was released on November 1, 2002. The movie starred Vinod Khanna and Dimple Kapadia in lead roles while Gulshan Grover, Deepti Naval, Delna Rastomjee, Kelly Gunning, partha dey, Gargi Sen, Brendan Hughes, Amol Mahtre and Sarayu Rao also played significant characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was composed by the music directors Jagjit Singh and Shantanu Moitra in collaboration while the songs were rendered by Jagjit Singh himself.

The movie starts with a beautiful women named Leela ( Dimple Kapadia ), who is a modern day women fully aware of the meaning of true independence. Her life gets upturned when she come across a young guy named Krishna aka Krish ( Amol Mahtre ). Krish is the only son of an Indian couple. Though his parents love him very much, but Krish is not happy with his life and wants to lead his own seperate life. Problem arises when Krish get attracted towards Leela, who is exactly double of his age.
