Bollywood musical romantic action drama, Love Story, directed by Rajendra Kumar was released in the year 1981. The movie starred Kumar Gaurav and Vijayata Pandit in lead roles while Rajendra Kumar, Vidya Sinha, Danny Denzongpa, Amjad Khan, Aruna Irani and Bharat Kapoor also played important roles in the film. The melodious hit music of the film was composed by none other than famous music director Rahul Dev Burman while the songs were rendered by Amit Kumar Ganguly, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc.

Bunty Mehra ( Kumar Gaurav ) is the only son of Vijay Mehra ( Rajendra Kumar ). He meets with a beautiful girl named Pinky Dogra ( Vijayata Pandit ) and falls in love with her. Pinky too falls in love with him. After some initial hesitation they expresses their love to each other. Pinky is the daughter of Ram Dogra ( Danny Denzongpa ) and Suman Dogra ( Vidya Sinha ). Bunty and Pinky tells thier parents about each other but their parents disagree with this realtionship.

Pinky and Bunty are asked to forget each other. However, the two fails to do so and decides to run away from their home. Their parents notifies the police about them and the search for the two love birds starts. Little does, Bunty and Pinky knows is that Bunty’s father and Pinky’s mother was in love with each other but due to some misunderstanding Suman got married to Ram much to the anger of Vijay. How will Bunty and Pinky convicne their parenst for their relationship?
