The production of the social drama Luck By Chance is completed and will release on January 30, 2009 under the banners of Big Pictures and Excel Entertainment. The movie is directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The important roles in the movie are played by Farhan Akhtar, Rishi Kapoor, Konkona Sen Sharma and Dimple Kapadia while the roles of Isha Sharwani and Hrithik Roshan were equally important. Music of the film is directed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and the songs are sung by Ila Arun, Manzoor Khan, Babu Khan, Mumay Khan and Rajab Khan.

The movie is all about a girl named Sona ( Konkona Sen Sharma ) who want to be a famous actress and thus arrives in Mumbai with her dreams of making it big in the film industry. She is ambitious and can do anything, required to fulfill her dreams. She lives on her own and in a rented apartment. She did everything on her own and is helped by her friends who are also linked with this industry, each having his dream of making big one day.

Vikram ( Farhan Akhtar ) left the comforts he had in Delhi and also moved to this place.    This young and handsome guy is smart enough to manipulate things to achieve what he requires. Sona soon falls for him and a deep romantic relation develops between them. Rolly ( Rishi Kapoor ) is a successful but superstitious producer who always works with the big stars. He wants to produce a big movie with Nikki Khurana ( Isha Sharwani ), the 18-year-old daughter of 70’s superstar, Neena ( Dimple Kapadia ). Rolly’s favorite star Zaffar Khan ( Hrithik Roshan ) is the hero of the film.
