Bollywood sexy damsel, Mahima Chaudhary, was born as Ritu Chaudhury on September 13, 1973 in New Delhi, India. She is married to an Architect, Bobby Mukherjee, and they have a child named Aryana. She made her debut with Subash Ghai’s !997 released musical hit film titled Pardes. She was seen opposite Shahrukh Khan in the film. She eventually won the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for her terrific performance in the film. Her next film Dil Kya Kre opposite Ajay Devgan failed to do well at the box office. But she once again banged with a hit film in the form of thriller Daag : The Fire.

Later she played second fiddle in the film Dhadhkan. However, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Shilpa Shetty were in the lead roles in the film but her performance was also noted by the audiences. She also played second lead in her next film Deewane. She delievered three hit films back to back in the form of Kurukshetra, Khiladi 420 and Lajja. She also worked in a comedy film titled Yeh Tera Ghar Yeh Mera Ghar but failed to recieved good response from audiences. Then she was seen in two big flop films, Om Jai Jagdish and Dil Hai Tumhara. She did a special appearance in a song in Salman Khan starrer Tere Naam.

She delievered another hit film in the form of Baghban in which she starred opposite Salman Khan. In her next film Dobara she portrayed the role of a frustrated housewife. She delievered back to back flop films in the form of Zameer, Kuch Meetha Ho Jaaye, Sehar, Home Delievery etc. She once again tried her hands in comedy and did a film opposite Govinda but this time too she failed to impress audiences with her comic timing. Her last films,Kudiyon Ka Hai Zamana and Sarhad Paar, also performed badly at the box office. Right now she is busy in her forthcoming flick Hope and a Little Sugar.
